Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answering high volume phone calls
- Schedule appointments accurately, managing calendars for multiple providers
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and current medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment reminders, follow-up instructions, and necessary documentation.
- Verifying insurance information and assisting with billing inquiries.
- Providing information on our services and helping patients make informed decisions.
- Invoicing and processing payments for services rendered.
- Ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience from check-in to check-out.
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Compassion and empathy for patients with hearing-related concerns (MUST HAVE).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Previous experience in a medical office is required.
- Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, billing, and record management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external providers.
- Office experience that demonstrates attention to detail and customer service excellence.
- Must reside in or near the Somers area.
- Somers Office Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Fridays: 8:30AM-2:30PM
- Harrison Office Hours: Thursdays: 8:30AM -5:00PM
