About Our Head Of Finance

We are seeking a Head of Finance to be a key member of the audiochuck leadership team and a strategic partner to the CEO, business leaders, and the Board of Directors. This position collaborates with all areas of the organization and contributes significantly to developing and executing our strategic growth priorities. The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the financial strategy and operations. The Head of Finance ensures the financial health of the organization by providing strategic leadership and oversight for accounting, finance, budgeting, tax, risk management, and compliance. The Head of Finance will lead and direct the finance team, head our strategic planning, establish long-term financial goals, and work closely with other senior executives to drive profitability and operational excellence.

The Head Of Finance Will Be Responsible For

  • Partner with Executive Leadership Team on operational and strategic opportunities; this includes providing strategic recommendations based on financial data, analysis, and projections
  • Contribute to the development of short, medium, and long-term strategies; develop the finance function into a strategic asset for the company that delivers consistent, predictable, improving results
  • Provide oversight of all aspects of the finance, accounting, budget, and cost management functions; establish best-in-class controls
  • Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and long-term projections for operations, capital expenditures, and cash flows; spearhead working capital reduction and gross margin improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Manage all aspects of the audit, tax return preparation, indirect cost allocation plan, and other filings as needed; interface regularly with board of directors to share plans and results
  • Design and drive the strategic KPIs to help accelerate growth and sustained profitability, while providing the executive team with operational insights to better manage the business; in addition, this person must effectively align and rally all departments around organizational KPIs and forecast achievement.
  • Continuously improve financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and accounting. Lead planning and rolling forecast process to support the attainment of the company’s growth objectives and mission as well as to action any refinement of plans mid-quarter.
  • Work exceptionally well cross-functionally and manage a team that can do so at a high-performance level
  • Oversee finance system performance and integrations and maximize data output for the company
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures
  • Ensure that all financial approval processes are in place and followed.
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of the strategic business plans and the development and execution of supporting tactical initiatives

What You Will Bring To The Table

  • 7 years minimum operational experience as a Finance leader, preferably in a fast-paced, high growth company
  • 12 years of total accounting experience and/or finance experience
  • Exceptional financial management, analytical, reporting, problem solving, negotiations and organizational skills (CPA preferred)
  • Success serving as the key member of the senior executive team in providing input to the CEO, board of directors, and management regarding the financial implications of all major business decisions, as well as strategic objectives
  • Ability to initiate and drive change and have the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, growing environment
  • Exceptional business acumen with a proven ability to think through the model, strategy, and customer acquisition costs as they evolve
  • Strategic thinker who possesses the exceptional interpersonal skills needed to effectively share and engage the internal organization and external stakeholders in the key financial drivers of the company with a bias for action and consistency
  • Proven ability to plan, budget, model and forecast with accuracy, and to know at all times where the company is in relation to internal and external models/targets for the current and successive years both at the most strategic and most granular levels
  • Strong breadth of skills and pattern match across Investor Relations, FP&A, Accounting, M&A, Tax and Treasury
  • Hands-on leader and mentor with the ability to build and retain a highly motivated and talented finance team
  • Demonstrated ability to build, hire, lead and performance-manage a finance team for increasing scale and operational maturity

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, New York.

The base salary for this role is between $250,000 and $315,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
