What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV Technician position at Audio Command Systems?

As an industry founding pioneer with three offices across the country in New York City, Florida and California, ACS has designed and installed thousands of custom systems for some of the most discerning clients around the world, from Miami to Los Angeles.
We are looking for a strong lead tech with experience for our Hamptons team. The tech should have experience with the following:
- Cable termination including: Coax, Data, Telecom, Control Cable, Fiber termination a plus.
- Installation of speakers, TV’s, Network Gear, projectors, CCTV, low voltage lighting components, basic shade installation.
- Head end rack wiring and wire management.
- Work with programming remotely to test and de-bug systems.
- Work with IT department remotely to test and ds-bug networks.
- Daily reports to project manager and field ops with daily work completed and project status.
Experience:
- Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Savant, Ruckus systems a plus.
- Overall knowledge of home automation systems and structure.
- Basic network knowledge.
- Ability to read wiring plans, flow documents and wiring schematics.
- Basic construction knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Minimum 3-year experience in the AV industry.
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must own basic hand tools specifically geared towards the AV industry.
- Must be willing to work in the tri-state metro area which includes NY, NJ, Ct.
