About the Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the sales team. You’ll identify prospects, engage decision-makers, and set up meetings that lead to new business. This is a high-energy role for someone excited about media, technology, and working in a startup environment.
This is the perfect entry point into a sales career, with a clear growth path into Associate AE and AE roles.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify new leads within target industries (media, sports, entertainment, publishing, brands, agencies)
- Execute outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, and phone
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and route them to AEs
- Secure discovery calls and demos for the sales team
- Collaborate with AEs on account strategy
- Track all outreach and prospect activity in CRM (HubSpot)
- Provide feedback to marketing on campaign effectiveness and lead quality
- Hit or exceed monthly KPIs (outreach volume, meetings booked, opportunities created)
Requirements
- 0–2 years of sales or business development experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and coachable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and prospecting platforms (Outreach, Sales Navigator, etc.)
- Interest in media, marketing, or SaaS technology
Bonus Points
- Previous SDR/BDR experience in SaaS or media-tech
- Knowledge of audience engagement tools or digital marketing concepts
