Are you an accomplished sales leader with a strong network in the construction industry? Audience Development Strategies (ADS) is looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead sponsorship, exhibitor, and membership growth for our fast-growing construction portfolio—including DirtTech and the New England Women in Construction Conference (NEWIC).
About the Role
The Director of Sales will drive strategic growth across ADS’s construction and infrastructure event brands while spearheading revenue development for our construction association clients. You’ll build and lead sales strategies, cultivate sponsor and exhibitor relationships, and expand our reach into new regions and media opportunities. You'll get to do really cool stuff and be part of a well-oiled machine with strong, experienced and knowledgeable professionals in marketing, finance, operations, graphic design and communications. We are a growing team with high energy, integrity, strong business ethics and a very big desire to create meaningful events, experiences and to energize existing membership organizations.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the CEO in Farmington, CT. If you cannot commute to Farmington, CT most days, please do not apply for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales and business development for ADS’s construction portfolio, including DirtTech and NEWIC.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand sponsorship, exhibitor, and advertising revenue.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and service providers across New England and beyond.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our construction events into new markets and formats.
- Oversee membership and sponsorship sales initiatives for ADS’s construction-focused association clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and events teams to deliver exceptional value and experience to partners.
- Represent ADS and its clients at events, trade shows, and industry gatherings.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success in construction-related sales—equipment, services, or media.
- Strong network and industry contacts throughout Connecticut and New England (national network a plus).
- Strategic thinker with the drive to build, grow, and lead revenue initiatives.
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder with a passion for partnerships.
- Experience in events, sponsorship, or association management is a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
