About the Role

Digital Hearing Aids, Inc., doing business as Audibel Hearing Aid Centers, is a locally owned and operated hearing healthcare practice. We are a small, patient-focused team that values personal relationships, dependable service, and straightforward, attentive care.

We are looking for someone who wants more than a traditional front-desk position. As our Hearing Instrument Technician/Patient Care Coordinator, you will develop hands-on technical and clinical skills working alongside our licensed hearing specialists, with a clear pathway toward certification as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. You will also serve as a steady, welcoming presence for our patients across two office locations.

This role is designed for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in building a career in hearing healthcare. We are willing to train the right person and invest in their growth.

This is a full-time position with a consistent weekly schedule across two offices.

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Bourbonnais office — clinical and technical work, including independent patient appointments as training progresses
  • Tuesday & Thursday: Watseka office — floating between patient care coordination and technical support

Some travel between office locations is required.

What You'll Do

Hearing Instrument Technical Support

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage daily front-desk activity
  • Verify insurance information and process payments accurately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Support the Hearing Instrument Specialist and help keep appointments running on schedule

Growth & Licensure Pathway

For the right person, this position provides a direct pathway toward becoming a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. As you gain experience, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Develop knowledge of hearing healthcare through hands-on training and mentorship
  • Work toward meeting Illinois Hearing Instrument Specialist licensure requirements
  • Receive support with training and exam preparation
  • Accumulate supervised clinical experience as applicable
  • Take on expanded responsibilities over time as skills, confidence, competency, and business needs allow

  • Strong punctuality and reliable attendance
  • A positive attitude and professional communication skills
  • Comfort learning new software, systems, and office procedures
  • Strong organization and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and handle responsibilities independently after training
  • Genuine interest in hearing healthcare and patient care
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and receive coaching
  • Ability to travel between office locations as needed

Why This Role Matters

Our patients often come to us because hearing has become difficult, frustrating, or isolating. The person in this role helps set the tone for their entire experience. A kind greeting, a properly cleaned hearing aid, and a skilled, attentive technician can make a meaningful difference in a patient's day.

This is an opportunity to serve patients, build a valuable healthcare skill set, and grow toward licensure with a locally owned company that cares about doing things the right way.

What We Offer
