Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all cleaning activities to protect yourself and others from hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility staff or client requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following proper procedures for chemical handling safety.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence and proper use of cleaning tools and machinery.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
