Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will interact with guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand.
- Assist with guest inquiries and ensure a high level of customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to enhance guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous Host/Host experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience in food service or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team dedicated to providing outstanding guest services.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
