Lumber Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Auctis. This role will report to the site Maintenance Manager and be responsible for planning and leading the daily activities of a team of millwrights, electricians, and mechanics in the areas of safety, quality, and reliability focused maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Focus: Identify and address safety concerns proactively, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Team Leadership: Actively supervise maintenance activities to ensure efficient and quality work completion, while promoting teamwork and building relationships with colleagues.
• Predictive Maintenance: Utilize systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and minimize waste, prioritizing maintenance requests and delegating resources effectively.
• Training and Development: Implement training processes to build the team's technical skills, utilizing computer-based programs to prioritize maintenance and manage inventory.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role in an industrial environment, targeting lumber/wood products knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead a team, meet department metrics and goals, and ensure compliance with safety initiatives.
• Knowledgeable in areas such as hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques, welding, and basic industrial electrical.
• Proven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
