Chief Operating Officer

Aucoin Hart Jewelers, a third-generation, family-owned luxury jeweler serving Greater New Orleans, is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to help lead the next chapter of our growth. This role will be instrumental in overseeing daily operations while shaping the future of our business. This is a rare opportunity to be mentored in position by our retiring COO.

As COO, you’ll work closely with our executive leadership team to refine and execute business strategies, manage financial performance including budgeting and forecasting, and drive operational excellence across every department. This role requires a seasoned leader with experience in retail operations management, ideally within luxury or high-end retail environments, with a strong understanding of the jewelry sector.

The role demands proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams, combined with strong communication abilities. Expertise in human resources is essential, including recruitment, training, employee relations, and knowledge of employment law. A background in luxury retail marketing, sales strategy, and brand development will be valuable, along with the ability to analyze complex challenges and develop practical, strategic solutions.

Your leadership will help drive the efficient operations of our nearly 50-person team, overseeing all key departments — including accounting, merchandising, production, administration, and marketing — and contributing strategically as part of the executive team. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to influence the strategic direction of one of the region’s premier luxury retailers, while preserving the craftsmanship, heritage, and personalized experience that have shaped our legacy.
