We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will support the upkeep and smooth operation of Auburn Post Acute, a 96-bed post-acute facility by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general repairs.
- Support the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct basic electrical work, including wiring, replacing fixtures, and reading schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
- Assist with painting projects, including residential interior and exterior painting to maintain property aesthetics.
- Use TELS to log work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with facility inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs or safety hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or staff concerns promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices across residential or commercial settings.
- Ability to perform residential painting with attention to detail and quality standards. .
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team coordination or project oversight.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interactions.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
