What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant position at Auburn Oaks Animal Clinic LLC?
KENNEL ASSISTANT PART-TIME - INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS - needed for upscale, energetic, boarding facility in newer North Auburn veterinary clinic. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 1- 2 WEEKENDS PER MONTH, HOLIDAYS (Christmas and Thanksgiving) and HOLIDAY BREAKS. Occasional Fridays. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THESE TIMES. WE MAINTAIN A VERY HIGH STANDARD OF PROFESSIONALISM, CLEANLINESS AND CARE. Duties include: - Play with, feed, and care for boarding dogs and cats. Administer meds.- Bathe dogs and assist with nail trims, etc.- CLEAN kennels and maintain CLEAN kennel and outdoor play areas- Maintain organization of food boards and boarding arrivals/departures- Monitor food intake and medical issues which may arise- Take pictures for social media posts- Clinic laundry (not extensive) Ideal candidate is: - An animal lover who enjoys spending time with dogs and cats- Knowledgeable about dog and cat behavior and willing to learn- Professional, dependable, responsible, accountable- Organized and attentive to details- Someone who likes cleanliness and order- Able to communicate well with staff and clients- Physically able to manage large dogs- Professional in grooming and attire- Friendly, polite, and has a happy, positive attitude! Shift times are M-F 7-12 pm and 3:30-6 pm, and 7-9 and 4-6 on weekends and holidays. Weekends require working all 4 shifts on Saturday and Sunday. MUST be able to work holidays/school breaks. $11-13 per hour.
