What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Team Member position at Auburn Eye Care Associates?
The Auburn Eye Care Associates team is currently seeking a hardworking, motivated, team player to help us provide exceptional care and service to our patients.

We are currently looking for an individual who thrives with face to face interactions and loves variety in a workplace. This opportunity is for a multifaceted role supporting both our doctors and our patients needs.
This position would provide crosstraining between two departments:
- Optician – Listening to the needs of the patient and presenting eyeglass options to best meet those needs, learning optics and related lens technology, repairing / adjusting eyewear, and training / handling of contact lens materials.
- Optometric Technician: Team members in this role prepare our patients for their appointment with the doctor. You will perform preliminary medical testing with state-of-the art technology, gather and document health information, and present necessary details to the doctor. Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to thrive in an active, fast paced environment is preferred. Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply.

- Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Learn basic optometric and ophthalmologic principles and practices of hands-on patient care.
- Support the needs of our doctors and your teammates in a variety of settings to facilitate exceptional care.
- Be self-driven and able to work effectively both in an individual and team capacity.
- Effectively utilize computer technology in a Windows network as well as EHR and cloud environments.
- Reading comprehension, and arithmetic skills are required.
Physical Requirements:
- Daily tasks may require 10% sitting 90% standing / movement depending on role.
- Fine detailed manipulation of hand tools to repair frames/lenses and assist chairside.
- Be willing to travel to both of our offices (Auburn and Colfax) and must be available from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday.
