Auburn Public Schools is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Special Education Administrative Assistant to support our Special Education Department.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 12-month position
- Works closely with the Director of Special Education

What You’ll Do:
- Maintain confidential student records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Track important timelines for evaluations, IEPs, and eligibility requirements
- Manage data entry, reporting, and documentation for state and federal programs
- Assist with financial tracking, purchase orders, and grant documentation
- Provide administrative support to special education staff and leadership
- Build positive relationships with staff and families while supporting daily department operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organizational, clerical, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience in a school or special education setting is a plus
