Job Summary
This is an entry level position at Au Jus in Parma, Ohio. The open position will start off as part time,..with full time being an option in the future. The position entails working in an open commercial kitchen.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are handled safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Operate POS systems such as toast.
- Support food running duties by delivering orders from the kitchen to dining areas quickly and accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during shifts
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with POS systems.
- Reliable, energetic, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
