Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student IEPs.
- Provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with varying disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related-service providers, families, and school staff.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and IEP records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and other student-support activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Valid Special Education teaching license/certification with appropriate state authorization.
- Cross-categorical or multi-categorical SPED experience preferred.
- Experience working with students with diverse disabilities and support needs.
- Knowledge of IEP development, accommodations, modifications, and progress monitoring.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
