DCD Special Education Teacher

Onsite DCD Special Education Teacher - Full-Time | Richfield, MN
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position in Richfield, MN . This role is ideal for an educator with experience supporting students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and a passion for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Position Details:

• Position: Onsite DCD Special Education Teacher
• Location: Richfield, MN
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Setting: Onsite, School-Based
• Caseload: Approximately 9 students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
• Support students’ academic, communication, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development
• Adapt instruction and activities to meet individual student needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation
• Collaborate with families, general education staff, special education teams, and related-service professionals
• Promote a safe, structured, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching certification required
• Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota teaching certification required
• Experience working with students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities or significant support needs is preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education instructional practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Applicants must provide a current Minnesota teaching certification and resume with their application
