What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Manager, Retail Sales position at Atwoods Ranch & Home?
Atwoods a fast-growing farm & home retailer seeks Northern Texas District Manager for our Retail Stores. Candidates will need excellent customers skills, a positive can-do spirit and big box retail experience. Preferred experience in retail management, supervision, sales, material movement, inventory receiving and safety. This is a safety sensitive position. Ag experience a plus. This position is eligible for the District Manager (DM) bonus. DM will oversee store inventory, adjusting inventory at each store depending on market trends and sales performance. DM will hire, train, mentor and supervise store managers in the district. DM will monitor sales and operations at retail stores within a district to ensure sales targets are met. Typical years’ experience in field of 5-10 years. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. DM will directly supervisory 36 people. DM will hire team members, mentor, advise, promote team members, assign, evaluate work, terminate employees, review performance annually, and set pay. Skills/specialties include budget management, operations management, profit & loss (P&L) statements, project management, team leadership, product development, a history of solid safety performance and strategic planning. Certifications preferred include forklift and OSHA 10 Hour.
