Atwell Acupuncture and Holistic Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing wellness team. We are dedicated to helping our patients achieve better health through collaborative, patient-centered care.
As our practice continues to grow, we're expanding our massage therapy services. Our administrative team handles scheduling, billing, insurance, and marketing, allowing you to focus on what you do best—providing exceptional care to your patients.
What You'll Do
- Provide therapeutic massage treatments tailored to each patient's individual needs.
- Collaborate with acupuncturists and other practitioners to support patients' overall treatment goals.
- Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Educate patients on stretching, strengthening, self-care, and relaxation techniques.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough SOAP notes within our electronic health record (EHR).
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Recommend massage techniques and wellness services that best support each patient's goals.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and compassionate treatment environment.
- Comply with all Maine licensing regulations and professional standards.
- Maintain current professional liability insurance.
Qualifications
- Current Massage Therapy license in the State of Maine.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service with a caring, patient-focused approach.
- Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of professional massage therapy experience.
- Experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and wellness-focused patients.
- Familiarity with documentation requirements for insurance billing.
- Experience with therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, or other specialized massage techniques is a plus.
