Janitor

Accountabilities:

• Take Initiative creating a safe work environment, paying attention to surroundings and participating in keeping self and coworkers safe
• Employees must understand the general requirements of ISO9001; employees are expected to understand the Quality Policy and have a working knowledge of the Quality Management System in terms of their job function and interaction with process owners
• Must understand AS9100 requirements as they relate to Judson Smith
• May perform other duties as assigned

ENTIRE PLANT:

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, floors and machines.

• Empties plant trash and garbage containers.

• Removes cardboard boxes for recycling.

• Helps in unloading raw material.

• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs.

• Samples raw material as needed by quality department

• Perform building maintenance duties as assigned

MACHINING DIVISION:

• Maintain coolant and lubricant levels in machinery.

• Perform periodic preventative maintenance of identified equipment.

• Conveys materials and items from stock or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type, style, size, or product code.

• Marks materials with identifying information.

• Records amounts of materials or items distributed.

• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant.

Ideal Experience

At least 5 years' experience cleaning in a manufacturing environment

The employee must maintain hand-eye coordination sufficient to see and read data that may not be well written.
