What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at ATW Companies, Inc. Career Center?
Accountabilities:
- Take Initiative creating a safe work environment, paying attention to surroundings and participating in keeping self and coworkers safe
- Employees must understand the general requirements of ISO9001; employees are expected to understand the Quality Policy and have a working knowledge of the Quality Management System in terms of their job function and interaction with process owners
- Must understand AS9100 requirements as they relate to Judson Smith
- May perform other duties as assigned
ENTIRE PLANT:
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, floors and machines.
- Empties plant trash and garbage containers.
- Removes cardboard boxes for recycling.
- Helps in unloading raw material.
- Notifies management concerning need for major repairs.
- Samples raw material as needed by quality department
- Perform building maintenance duties as assigned
MACHINING DIVISION:
- Maintain coolant and lubricant levels in machinery.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance of identified equipment.
- Conveys materials and items from stock or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type, style, size, or product code.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Records amounts of materials or items distributed.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant.
