What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality on-site emergency medical coverage, initial triage, and first aid during assigned local athletic and event coverage shifts.
- Respond rapidly to acute medical incidents, athletic injuries, or emergency situations on-site.
- Assess patient conditions, deliver immediate care within the EMT scope of practice, and coordinate higher-level EMS transport when necessary.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential electronic incident and care documentation.
- Maintain and inventory event medical kits and emergency response supplies before and after shifts.
- Serve as a professional, calm, and reassuring medical presence for athletes, event participants, staff, and spectators.
Requirements
- 3 years EMT Event Experience REQUIRED
- Current EMT Certification (NREMT and/or Pennsylvania EMT State Certification)
- Current CPR / BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Mandated Reporter training within the last 2 years
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to shift locations in/around Erdenheim, PA
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor under pressure
- Background checks and clearances as required by Pennsylvania state guidelines (e.g., Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting, Criminal History)
