About the Role
Our client in the Atlanta area is looking for an experienced Cloud / Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of modern cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with deep experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—specifically Terraform and Bicep—who enjoys building scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments.
This position is available onsite in Atlanta or fully remote for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Terraform and Bicep
- Lead infrastructure standardization, automation, and IaC best practices across environments
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures (Azure-focused preferred)
- Partner with application, DevOps, and security teams to support cloud-native solutions
- Review and optimize existing infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and architectural guidance
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and operational standards
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or architecture roles
- Proven experience designing and deploying infrastructure using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with Bicep for Azure resource provisioning
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and governance
- Experience with Azure services (vNet, VM, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (Azure Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar)
- Experience supporting hybrid environments
- Exposure to Kubernetes, container platforms, or platform engineering concepts
- Prior experience in enterprise or regulated environments
