Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly
- Assist stylists with hair care services including hair styling, coloring, hair extensions
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness across all salon stations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Support with retail sales by upselling hair care products, makeup items, nail care products, and other beauty essentials to enhance client satisfaction
- Prepare clients for services by providing consultations on hair coloring techniques, color theory, and hair care routines
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with knowledge of cosmetology practices including haircutting, barbering (straight razor use), coloring, and styling techniques
- Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with clients and team members
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling products effectively while maintaining a friendly approach
- Experience mentoring or supporting team members fosters a collaborative atmosphere within the salon
