We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Event Team Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams, helping to organize and execute high-impact events that promote The Attorneys On Retainer Program ("AOR"), and engage with the Second Amendment and self-defense communities. The Attorneys On Retainer Program (“AOR”) is a membership that provides legal defense (aka attorneys), financial support, and affiliate benefits for individuals involved in a self-defense-related matter. Unlike traditional insurance-backed programs, AOR operates through a direct attorney-client relationship, ensuring personalized legal representation without the complexities often found with conventional programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, and other events across the U.S. from start to finish.
- Lead Generation: Develop strategies to create leads and strengthen our network within the industry.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage event budgets, including significant expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accuracy.
- Collaborative Work: Report to the Marketing Director & Business Development Director and collaborate closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams.
- Travel: Be prepared to travel within the U.S. at least three times a year for events and conferences.
- Conference Management: Organize a large-scale conference (300-500 attendees) annually, handling all logistics.
- Vendor and Partner Relations: Communicate and maintain relationships with event vendors, sponsors, and partners through email and phone correspondence.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation for each event, ensuring smooth execution and post-event analysis.
- Bookings: Help book flights & accommodations for the team when needed.
- Research: Stay up to date on Second Amendment community events nationwide and assess whether attendance by the AOR team or business development is worthwhile.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years (4) of relevant experience with event management or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field.
- Proven experience in planning and managing trade shows, conferences, and large-scale events.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required, with a higher frequency of events typically occurring on weekends.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with and an eye for graphic design: ability to use Adobe Suite products or Canva etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning for large events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- A passion for or familiarity with the Second Amendment community. (Not necessary but is a plus)
