Front of House Team Member

Position Overview:The Front of House Employee is a vital member of our bakery team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail space. This role involves operating the cash register, taking orders, and assisting customers with their selections. The ideal candidate should have a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly as they enter the bakery.
• Assist customers in placing orders and provide information about products.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately at the cash register.
• Order Management:
• Take and process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
• Retail Area Maintenance:
• Keep the front of the house clean, organized, and inviting for customers.
• Regularly clean and restock displays to ensure products are fresh and accessible.
• Monitor inventory levels of retail products and inform management of any shortages.
• Miscellaneous Tasks:
• Assist with various tasks as needed, such as preparing to-go orders, setting up displays, and other duties as assigned by management.
• Participate in bakery events and community outreach as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a food service environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash.
• A passion for quality food and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
