Job Overview
We are seeking attentive, caring, reliable, and compassionate companion sitter / personal care assistants to support our clients in the metro Atlanta area and surrounding counties in need of a companion to accompany to appointments, support community access or ride and wait services, or assist with personal care needs. These clients are seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. In this role, you'll do more than provide personal care: you'll be the person who gets clients safely out into their community to appointments, community resources, and social activities helping them stay independent and connected.
What You'll Do
- Transport and accompany clients to community resources, public programs, appointments, and social activities
- Facilitate and coordinate appointment scheduling
- Assist with home management and organization to support independence
- Supervise meal preparation and support proper nutrition
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, organization, shopping, and home safety
- Assist with ambulation/transfers and take vital signs
- Document client progress each shift
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies in the home
What You'll Need
- CNA certification (GA), or completion/progress toward an approved home care aide training program (40-hour training covering personal care, first aid/CPR, home safety, infection control, and vital signs)
- Valid Georgia driver's license with a good driving record (clean 7-year MVR)
- Reliable personal vehicle in safe operating condition
- Current auto insurance
- Current CPR & BLS certificate
- Negative TB test
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Must pass background check

Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or hospice care environments
- Knowledge of assisting with ADLs and managing patients with cognitive disabilities such as dementia or autism
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, first aid protocols,
- Ability to observe patient conditions accurately and report findings clearly using EMR systems or documentation tools
- Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Physical ability for lifting, manual handling, and providing direct support in various settings
