Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to supporting clients in maintaining safety and independence at home. We deliver in-home nursing oversight and personalized caregiver services throughout Long Island, NY.
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing compassionate, one-on-one care in their homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Run errands and support clients with transportation as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to nursing staff
- Support safe client transfers and mobility, including lifting and repositioning
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients
- Prior caregiving experience within the past 2 years under an active HHA certification at a licensed home care agency in New York State
- Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation
- Bilingual language skills
- Residence within 25 miles of the job location
- Availability for live-in shifts
- Willingness to work weekend shifts
