- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual needs.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate healthcare staff.
- Ensure patient rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care and patient monitoring.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care or as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with care plans, resident rights, and patient observation techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a group home setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges is essential.
