Attention to Detail PBR is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician / Automotive Painter to join our team in Spooner, WI.
We are specifically looking for a well-rounded technician who is capable of BOTH auto body repair and automotive painting/refinishing.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys being involved throughout the repair process rather than being limited to one area of the shop.

What You'll Be DoingAuto Body & Collision Repair
- Perform collision and auto body repairs
- Complete vehicle teardown and assess damaged areas
- Repair dents and damaged body panels
- Remove and replace damaged panels and components
- Perform metal straightening and body repair
- Align and properly fit replacement panels
- Prepare repaired areas for refinishing
- Follow proper repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Inspect your work for proper fit and quality
Automotive Painting & Refinishing
- Prepare vehicles and panels for paint
- Sand, mask, prime, and seal surfaces
- Mix and match automotive paint colors
- Tint colors when necessary to achieve an accurate match
- Perform panel blending
- Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and other refinishing products
- Inspect finished paintwork for color, coverage, texture, and overall quality
- Correct paint imperfections when necessary
- Properly clean and maintain spray guns and refinishing equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized paint and work area
What We're Looking For
We want someone who is comfortable moving between body work and paint work depending on what the shop needs.
The right candidate should have:
- Previous professional auto body/collision repair experience
- Automotive painting and refinishing experience
- Experience with paint mixing and color matching
- Knowledge of proper body repair and refinishing procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
- Good problem-solving skills
- Dependability and a strong work ethic
- Pride in producing high-quality finished work
- Valid driver's license
Applicants should be capable of performing both body repairs and automotive refinishing.
