What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eyewear Specialist position at Atteberry Eye Centers?
Atteberry Eye Centers is seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join our team as an Optician. In this role, you will be assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, process orders, and provide exceptional customer service. Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities:
-Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquires, resolving issues, and ensuring patient satisfaction
- Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and prescriptions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
Experience:
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred, but willing to train the right person!
- Knowledge of retail management systems and medical billing systems
- Familiarity with medical records and senior care practices
- Strong understanding of retail math principles for pricing and discounts
