Job Summary
The Business Development Manager partners with mortgage and housing professionals to drive awareness and adoption of the HOPER program. This role focuses on outbound outreach, education, and relationship management with loan officers, realtors, and builders to create repeat referral channels and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base
- Educate referral partners on the HOPER program by reframing FHA strategies, addressing skepticism, and delivering consistent, engaging messaging across multiple touchpoints
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospects through various channels including networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events
- Generate leads through various channels, including networking, social media, and content marketing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), sales pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts
- Daily outbound calls, follow-up sequences, and stay informed on industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
- Former or current mortgage loan officer, loan processor, or account executive strongly preferred
- Comfortable with phone-based outreach and relationship selling
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Able to explain complex programs in simple, confident terms
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Thrives in a consultative, mission-driven sales environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Experience in mortgage loan origination, processing, underwriting
- Knowledge of digital marketing and lead generation strategies
