Attain Office Hybrid Schedule (where applicable):
- Redwood City, CA: Mondays (in-office for stand-ups, all-hands) and choice of three days between Tues-Friday
- Chicago, IL & New York, NY: 4 days in-office; 1 day remote
About the role
Attain is leveraging machine learning (ML) and data science-based products to take our business to the next level. To meet the growing needs of our business, we are searching for a Data Scientist to develop and apply novel machine learning approaches for new Ad-Tech products. This person will lead and experience first-hand how we transform machine learning models and algorithms into AI products for our customers, clients and partners.
What a typical week might look like
- Contribute to the development of our machine learning based Ad-Tech products, driving for speedy and outstanding execution
- Lead by example and define best practices for robust and efficient machine learning service development that includes data processing, feature engineering, model development, model deployment, and in-production support, etc.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team of data scientists, engineers, product managers and business stakeholders to cost-effectively deliver AI services with quality, efficiency, and security
- Contribute to the data science roadmap and priorities
- Develop cutting edge data science models and algorithms to drive strategic investment decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years working as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred)
- Strong expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models (especially reinforcement learning models) in production
- Solid understanding of underlying mathematical foundation of machine learning models
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with cloud computing services or platform (GCP preferred)
- Strong SQL skills
- Familiarity with version control and peer code review systems
- Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and approaches
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear multiple hats across the data science team, based on the needs of the business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
