MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Hiring:  Maintenance Technician 

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Job description:

The Maintenance Technician will conduct and assist with property maintenance and repair. The position will also assist with the agency’s vehicles for preventative maintenance and repair, maintenance supply ordering, maintenance supply storage and be available on call for emergency facility maintenance repairs as needed.

Experience and Education:

Preferred Education and Experience: 2 years or more of experience conducting building maintenance including wall repair, roofing repair, plumbing repair, electrical repair, and vehicle maintenance.

Minimum Education and Experience: 1 years or more of experience conducting building maintenance including wall, floor and roofing repair, plumbing repair, electrical repair, and vehicle maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of principles and practices of property maintenance and of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintenance knowledge should include:

knowledge of wall, floor and roofing maintenance and repair

plumbing maintenance and repair

electrical maintenance and repair

irrigation maintenance and repair

vehicle maintenance and repair

carpentry

Required:  Must possess a valid driver’s license and approval to drive under Attain, Inc. auto insurance and ability to pass a drug screening and a level 2 background screening.

Maintenance Technician duties may include, but are not limited to: 

• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair


• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures


• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs


• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly


• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof


• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries


• Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped


• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customer
