What are the responsibilities and job description for the ATSG SR INTERNAL AUDITOR FT position at ATSG?
The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Corporate Compliance & Internal Audit Manager and will assist in evaluating operational and business processes by assessing risk, analyzing processes, and making recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability across the Corporation. Responsibilities also include documenting and testing processes and controls, as well as assisting in the drafting and review of findings and related action plans. Conduct formal audits covering the full audit cycle—planning, fieldwork, and reporting. The role involves approximately 15% travel.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of internal or external audit experience
- Undergraduate Degree (Accounting or Finance) with strong financial management and audit training.
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts with experience in planning, performing, managing, and reporting on the evaluation of business processes, areas, and functions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to multitask while maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Ability to conduct and lead operational audits and internal control testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with peers and management, along with strong analytical ability and business judgment.
- Demonstrates professional integrity and honesty.
- Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while providing regular updates to team members.
- Proficiency in audit software, data analysis tools, Oracle, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Solid knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
- CPA or CIA certification preferred (completed or in progress)
