To support this growth, we’re hiring a senior People & Talent leader who can build for scale while preserving our high-performance, collaborative culture.


Role Overview

The Director, People will own both Talent Acquisition and core HR operations at AtScale. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for:

  • Building and executing our hiring strategy across all teams (GTM, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, G&A).
  • Establishing HR best practices, policies, and programs that support a scaling B2B SaaS organization.
  • Selecting and implementing the systems and processes that allow us to grow efficiently and consistently.
  • Recruitment of talent

You’ll partner closely with the executive team and functional leaders, acting as a strategic advisor on organization design, hiring priorities, performance, and culture.


Key Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition & Scaling the Team

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO and functional leaders to translate business goals into headcount plans and hiring roadmaps.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for all roles; oversee internal support as needed.
  • Design and standardize structured recruiting processes (intake, sourcing, interviews, assessments, panel calibration, decisioning, and offers).
  • Build talent pipelines for key roles in GTM, Product, Engineering and Customer Support with a focus on quality-of-hire.
  • Define and report on core recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline quality, offer acceptance rate, diversity of pipeline, cost-per-hire).
  • Shape AtScale’s employer brand in partnership with Marketing, including careers page content, job descriptions, social campaigns, and referral programs.


HR Strategy, Programs & Employee Experience

  • Establish and maintain core HR policies, the employee handbook, and guidelines aligned with AtScale’s values and legal requirements.
  • Own the onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring new hires are ramped effectively and managers are equipped with the right playbooks.
  • Implement and manage performance management frameworks (goals/OKRs, feedback cycles, reviews, promotions) appropriate for a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Partner with leadership on compensation and leveling frameworks, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Support managers with coaching on performance, feedback, and employee relations; act as a trusted advisor and escalation point.


Systems, Processes & Compliance

  • Own the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of People systems
  • Build scalable, documented processes for all core HR and recruiting workflows
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, secure employee records and people analytics; provide leadership with regular reporting and insights.


Qualifications

  • 7 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or People Operations, including 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience scaling headcount rapidly in a B2B SaaS or high-growth technology company
  • Track record of building and formalizing HR best practices: policies, performance management, career levels, compensation guidelines, and manager enablement.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing HR and Talent Acquisition solutions
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working directly with executives and coaching managers.
  • B2B Technology and high growth team building experience
