Key Responsibilities
- Help review project specifications, drawings, and scope documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Learn to develop complete project takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with Estimators, project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to validate assumptions and clarify scope.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for materials and services.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and valueengineering options during the estimating process.
- Help prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation for client submission.
- Participate in prebid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed.
- Support postaward handoff to operations and assist with change order pricing or revisions.
- 13 years of estimating experience in pipeline, facility, or industrial construction (preferred).
- Some knowledge of welding, piping systems, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency with software and tools (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Ability to learn to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction plans.
