Position Overview
The Associate Underwriter will assist in evaluating, selecting, and pricing stop loss insurance risks. This role supports senior underwriters by preparing quotes, conducting preliminary risk assessments, managing documentation, and RFP entry. The Associate Underwriter will also collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure a smooth underwriting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Support: Assist underwriters with reviewing applications and conducting initial risk evaluations.
- Quoting Assistance: Prepare preliminary quotes and support the development of pricing strategies.
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of underwriting decisions, proposals, and correspondence.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to support underwriting decisions and provide insights.
- Broker Relations Support: Communicate with brokers and partners to gather necessary information and clarify requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities follow regulatory guidelines and company standards.
- Administrative Support: Assist in preparing RFPs, proposals, and policy documentation.
Qualifications
