What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Equipment Repair Specialist position at ATS - Industrial Maintenance?
Join our team as an Advanced Equipment Repair Specialist where you'll dive into expert-level maintenance and repair tasks. Imagine yourself pinpointing problems, dismantling devices, and breathing new life into machinery by replacing defective parts. You'll not only test but ensure electrical circuitry and mechanical systems meet optimal standards. From sourcing to recommending cost-effective solutions, your expertise will maintain our equipment's efficiency. Work alongside a Planner Scheduler to enhance preventative procedures, and engage hands-on with machining operations, welding, and 5S standards compliance.
Be a champion of Continuous Improvement, leading and collaborating on projects and CI activities using specialized tools and methods. As a mentor, you'll provide guidance to junior technicians, and play a pivotal role in resolving complex control systems issues. Your keen eye will utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect data, observe trends, and propose recommendations. Keep records up to date and spearhead career development through on-the-job training and self-study programs.
Your high school education coupled with 5 years of industry-related experience (or 7 years without), alongside predictive technologies expertise, suits us perfectly. Traverse the realms of electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems and get hands-on with tools, laser interferometers, vibration analysis, among others. Embrace a dynamic factory floor environment where you'll stand, walk, reach, ascend ladders, and sometimes lift over 50 pounds, all in the spirit of safety awareness.
Proficiency in PLC, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting along with conveyor component replacements will see you thrive. You'll maintain, imagine, and innovate using machines with VFDs, PLCs, conveyors, and servo motors under potentially loud, and at times, hazardous working conditions, outdoors and indoors.
