NDT Trainee / Junior NDT Tech for PG-Dept 79 - STSS/RSS Remote Southeastern US (57910)

Summary: ATS is seeking an up and coming NDT Trainee/Junior Tech to support PG-Dept 79 remotely out of ATS Greenville, SC.  This is a full time, remote position.  This position offers a path to Advanced NDT and PAUT certification.  Perfect for recent graduates of approved NDT Classroom Training or an early NDT career technician with formal training and some NDT certs, a positive attitude and a strong desire to grow their NDT career in Power Generation/Renewables/Wind Energy.  Must be living in southeastern US and able to pass stringent background investigations.  Your work ethic, motivation and character are paramount.

Responsibilities/Duties:  NDT Trainee / Junior NDT Tech

• Remain motivated to perform at top levels in all work environments and situations.
• Perform tasks as directed in order to prepare components or equipment for inspections.
• Interface with personnel to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.
• Help clean and organize equipment before, during, and at the completion of projects.
• Document on job training experience as assigned by management.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Work alongside certified technicians to help complete projects and learn activities.

Minimum: Requirements/Qualifications:

• NDT Trainee / Junior NDT Tech - Meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Trainee / Junior NDT Tech, High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; math and print reading skills; ability to used computers for data entry and report writing. 
• Documented formal classroom hours preferred.  Virtual training hours are not always acceptable.  Documented OJT/Experience also preferred.
• Experience/knowledge of PT, MT, UT, UTSW and PAUT preferred.
• Reliable transportation and clean MVR.
• Extensive travel.
• Must be located within a reasonable distance to a major airport in the southeastern US (SC, NC, VA, TN, GA, AL or FL).

Work Conditions:

• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
• Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
• Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments. 
• Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
• Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
