Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on a specific project, with the potential to support additional projects over time. This individual will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture on the jobsite.
This is a hands-on, field-based role working closely with project teams, superintendents, and crews to proactively manage safety risks in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all safety efforts on an assigned project site
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Facilitate daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and reporting
- Coordinate with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all jobsite safety matters
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 (or higher) certification
- Prior experience in a safety role within heavy civil, construction, or related industries
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Experience working on infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience with drilling, deep foundations, or heavy equipment operations
