Position Overview

The Tactical Account Manager (TAM), is responsible for the day-to-day management of all assigned account activity, communication, execution and relationship building. Delivering an OMG customer experience. The TAM-, is familiar with every aspect of the business. Serves as the customers advocate ensuring their complete satisfaction from quote through post product delivery.

Responsible for all aspects of Opportunity Assessment (estimating) through Order delivery,

The TAM interacts with sales, operations, quality and accounting personnel and departments to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery.

The TAM enhances growth and profitability by cultivating relationships with customers, suppliers and other employees.

Key Responsibilities

The principal duties and responsibilities of the TAM consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

· Manage all customer centric account activity, communication, execution and relationship building

o Communicate customer requirements throughout the organization

o Manage the integrity of records & dates

o Manages document control

o Conduct quote follow-up

o Process and maintain sales order and production job entry

o Arrange deliveries and expedited orders as required

o Assist in the preparation of invoices and resolve any billing issues

· Interfaces with customers, Assisting Sales department efforts to maintain customer relations.

· Facilitates completion and delivery of quotes based on customer requirements, following ATRON’s proven Opportunity Analysis processes.

· Resolves complaints or problems relating to damage, late, or incorrect shipments.

· Establishes and Maintains records of customer contacts, addresses, and current pricing.

· Participates in sales and marketing promotions, trade shows, and other events to promote sales and product awareness.

· Stays current on industry trends.

· Participates in training courses and seminars set up by management to increase product knowledge or develop selling skills.

· Assists in the training of new employees as required and directed by the Sales/Marketing Manager.

· Devotes a portion of each workweek to the development of new customers through research, letter campaigns, and cold/warm calls.

· Maintains cooperative working relationships with all organization employees. Also included are all customers, suppliers, etc.

· Ensures compliance with and maintenance of appropriate ATRON Way Quality System elements.

· Performs any other related duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Experience

· Required: Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent training; Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.

· Required: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environment Preferred: 5 years supporting sheet metal fabrication with CAD experience and a Basic understanding of quoting.

  • Technical & Professional Skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), CAD software (AutoCAD & SolidWorks preferred), and ERP/MRP systems.

· Strong math skills for cost modeling, labor/time studies, and profitability analysis.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.

Physical & Working Conditions

This person will work a portion of time in the office, which is a temperature-controlled environment with little noise. Time will additionally be spent in both warehouse and fabricating facilities with hazards associated with production, movement, and storage. Additional outside time will include visits to customers, trade shows, association meetings, or vendors which may require travel by air or automobile. These locations are visited throughout the year and during all weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
