Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), located in Reno, NV. The role involves directly assisting surgeons in operative procedures by providing intraoperative support. Responsibilities include preparing the operative site, ensuring proper use of surgical instruments, executing surgical techniques as directed, and collaborating with the surgical team to optimize outcomes. Surgical specialties covered by Atrium Surgical included but not limited to: General, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Thoracic, Cardiac (EVH), Orthopedics, Total Joints, Sports Med, Spine, Foot and Ankle, Trauma, ENT and Oral Maxillofacial.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Operating Room protocols and Surgical Assisting
- Knowledge of Surgical Technology and Sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with medical terms and standards of practice in Medicine
- CSFA or RNFA certification required; experience in multiple surgical specialties is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current licensure in Nevada, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
