Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Prepare and maintain grant-related financial records and reports.
- Monitor grant budgets and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support annual audit and grant reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to track expenditures and allocations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions.
- 3 years of accounting experience, including nonprofit or grant accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite or similar) and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with federal and state grant compliance.
- Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
- Knowledge of donor management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
