Position Overview :
The Senior Technical Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Accountant :
- Provide technical accounting guidance, researching and documenting complex accounting issues that arise during operations.
- Analyze new and proposed accounting standards, assessing their potential impact on financial reporting and compliance.
- Support financial reporting by researching SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and aligning disclosures with industry standards.
- Evaluate accounting practices across peer companies to ensure consistency and identify best practices in real estate and financial services.
- Contribute to special projects, process automation initiatives, and SOX 404 compliance, collaborating with leadership and external partners.
