Responsibilities of the Chemistry Lab Technician:
- Prepare, weigh, and label samples for testing.
- Use pH meters, micro pipettes, and other basic lab tools.
- Follow written procedures to make sure samples are handled correctly.
- Recognize when an error occurs and alert the supervisor.
- Keep the lab space clean, organized, and safe.
- Work closely with Scientists and other lab team members.
- Some experience working in a professional lab environment.
- The Chemistry Lab Technician should have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to stay organized and focused during repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable asking questions and following directions.
- Experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or environmental science labs.
- Familiarity with pH meters, micropipettes, and sample prep work.
- Interest in analytical chemistry and learning from experienced scientists.
- Experience working in a fast-paced lab.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
