Upper Elementary Teacher
Full-time, beginning August 2026

Teachers in the elementary grades at Atrium work in multi-teacher teams. We seek candidates with particular strengths in designing and implementing innovative curricula across subject areas, differentiating instruction, and leading interdisciplinary projects in a classroom where social-emotional learning, collaboration, and kindness are valued. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, dual licensure or master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of three years of experience leading classrooms of elementary-aged students
- Possess the spirit and qualities of innovation, reflection, initiative, collaboration, and kindness
- Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, parents & guardians, and the greater community
- Experience and capacity in teaching diverse, multicultural perspectives
- Strong ability to problem solve, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Genuine understanding of elementary school students’ emotional, physical, cognitive, and intellectual development
- Fluency & ease with Google suites, and interest in developing effective instructional technologies
Responsibilities:
- Teach critical thinking and problem-solving skills through math, science, and interdisciplinary projects
- Design, refine, refresh, and implement curriculum following Atrium benchmarks; assess student work using multiple strategies
- Ensure a productive learning environment through clear routines, consistent expectations, and high standards for all students
- Write individualized student progress reports twice a year, and conduct parent conferences; regularly communicate with parents and guardians about curriculum and student progress
