- The Chronic Dialysis Nurse provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients receiving dialysis treatment. This role includes monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, coordinating care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, and routine nursing procedures
- Observe, document, and report patient symptoms and treatment responses to physicians
- Review and communicate lab results and provide patient education as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
