Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Imaging is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our team at our outpatient imaging center in Greensboro, NC!

- Position Status: Full-Time Flex
- Schedule: Thursday-Saturday, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
- Location: Greensboro, NC
As a Radiology Technologist Assistant, you will support our imaging team by assisting with patient care, maintaining efficient patient flow, preparing imaging rooms, and helping ensure a positive patient experience.
- Greet, identify, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
- Assist radiologic technologists with patient care and exam preparation.
- Assist with IV placement under appropriate supervision and in accordance with state regulations.
- Review patient histories, verify physician orders, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Explain procedures, answer questions, and provide exceptional patient care.
- Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and support efficient operations.
- Prepare imaging rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Update patient records in RIS and PACS as appropriate.
- Collaborate with technologists, referring offices, and other team members.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
- One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
