5W Cardiac Stepdownis a dynamic 34-bed unit located within Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, specializing in the care of patients with complex cardiac conditions. As part of our progressive care environment, 5W provides high-acuity nursing support for individuals recovering from myocardial infarctions, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures including catheterizations and device placements. This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Nurses on 5W are trained in advanced cardiac monitoring and collaborate closely with cardiologists, interventionalists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current valid Georgia nursing license
- BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Assocation
- Cardiac/ critical care experience preferred
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
